8 – Avery . . .

As I said in yesterday’s post, this was an idea I had for Em’s room. And I will still use this idea, only the background will be a different color – and obviously so will the font!!! I’ve had this idea for months and months and months. I’ve been wanting to work on my kids’ own art, but I’m trying to stay on task and work on “paying” customers.

But before my kids grow up too big, I’m going to have to let them all cut in line and paint for them! I’ll apologize now. Please understand. {haha!}

I was so happy to be painting for a tween – I don’t get those orders very often. But I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to pull out my idea for Em. {And if anyone of you ever meet my daughter, you would say this fits her personality 100%!} Please pray for me – the teenage years are closer than I realize.

First off the bedding for this room is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Who knew that Urban Outfitters had bedding – and this cute?!?

You can find the bedding here – because I know you all want it! I know I do! The walls are Sherwin Williams “Daffodil” which is a very bright yellow. There is a dresser in the room that is the same shade of turquoise as the lighter second shade you see on the bedding {towards the top of it.} The windows are decked out in these . . .

And when I closed my eyes, I pictured something like this . . .

There is a reason for everything I did on this canvas, but the thing is – I can’t explain it. Not that I don’t want to – I just can’t. I’m going to shut up now and just post close ups. Unfortunately, you can’t see it all and I hope I can capture more with the close ups.

I tried to give each letter as much detail as possible. And although it is hard to see it, the background has some depth as well . . .

And that is another painting completed. Only 99.5 more orders to go! {This was half of 1 order.} Have a great weekend!!!!

About Kim
I picked up a paint brush for the first time 7 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My goal - To paint a canvas for my son's nursery. I never dreamed a business would be born out of it. {And if you saw the first canvas, you would think the same thing, too!}

    as I always say….that is FABULOUS!!!!!! As I looked at these pic’s today on FB I tried to figure out which one of THESE letters would be your favorite. Then I tried to pick MY favorite and I couldn’t. They are all so amazing in their own way, it is impossible to pick a favorite. I guess we agree….because I didn’t see your favorite listed! Love it!!!!
