I barely made it this weekend – barely, because I’m still without a washing machine. The dirty laundry it killing me! I thought it would be fun to not have to worry with the laundry – but it’s not! I’ve went ahead and sorted it all out. It is sitting in all its matching baskets in my kitchen floor, waiting patiently for me to wash it. On Wednesday. That is right – Wednesday, I get a new washer. But not until then. I was really hoping they would call today and ask if I would mind if they went ahead and delivered it today.
I received no such call. And I’m devastated. And up to eyeballs in laundry.
I’ve learned something about myself through this difficult time – I not only vacuum daily, but use my washer daily. And apparently, I’m more machine than my washing machine! That really is pathetic.
I really hope I’m the first person on the delivery route Wednesday morning. This delivery is comparable to my last delivery! You know, the one where I delivered a child. Out of 3 pregnancies, my last was my first scheduled delivery. And it was a c-section {my 1st c-section with the twins was horrible!} Seriously, this reminds me of what Wednesday is going to be like! I wanted to deliver so bad, but I knew once here, what was delivered was going to take all my time and I was going to be in pain!!
I just compared delivering Emme to the delivery of my new washer and dryer.
I probably need to shut-up now.

This paint – I swear – is fuschia in color! More fuschia than it looks in the picture. My studio is about to be painted and I think I’m going to paint my walls white. A stark white. I think it might just solve some of my picture taking problems. I think the light reflecting off my taupe colored walls distort the colors of my art just enough to where my colors look far from the actual color. And I’m over it!!!
The walls in the room are light/soft blue. And there is a buttery yellow chair. What was so awesome about this client is that she matched up all the colors for me!!! haha! She took a sham to the HobLob and matched straight to it. I really do work with wonderful people!
This is definitely a first for me! Instead of the fabric against the painting – it is the paint against the fabric! haha!
This is another fabulous Pottery Barn Kids bedding. I couldn’t find a direct link to it, but it is called the Madras Bedding. And this is there picture. {And I really love those sheets!}
This was my first time to paint plaid.
More PBK pictures! {I did find a link!}

This has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but while working on this post . . . . Hudson has been sitting beside me. To aggravate me, he licked my arm. I gave him the “look” and told him to stop. So, to be cute, the joker “kissed” my arm. Only he sucked to hard and left a freakin’ hickey! He started laughing until he looked at my arm. Next I hear, “that is COOL! I want to do it again!” I ran him off and seconds later I hear him telling Carson about it.
And now they are sucking on their own arms trying to make their own hickeys!
What am I raising?

LOVE this bedding! Wish one of my daughters did too. . .:(
Too funny about the hickey. . .boys. . .mine haven’t discovered that. Yet.
you crack me up. i enjoy this blog so much! especially love how frequent you’re updating. great job on the paintings. i’m just up\down the street from you in brentwood, tn. whoot whoot! you are so talented and i love love love the blog!
Thank you Kim- I’m excited to hang it above the dresser and get her moving into her big girl bed! You have been wonderful to work with- thank you for sharing your talents with us all!
well whatever you are raising…i’m raising the same. my son was in the backseat the other day and i noticed a “hickey” on his arm. when i asked what happened, he immediately asked me if he would get in trouble if he did something stupid? great…hopefully HE will be the only one HE gives hickeys to.
OH MY!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA (as to the Hudson part, not the washer part) …Keeping my fingers crossed for ya about the washer… And LOVE that Madras bedding (I’ve been thinking about bedding that IF it is a girl) and LOVE the painting! And yeah, painting the whole room white would help buuuuuuuttttt… I could probably show you a much simpler solution LOL
What is up with that! I have the same kids doing the same thing. It is hickey central over here. Yikes! I am so glad I am not alone.
Kim – the plaid looks great! I know how hard it is and you did a wonderful job. You are just plowing through that list!
I love that cute painting, and that cute name
