An incredibly long time.
I need to apologize. Hard for people to follow my blog when there is absolutely NOTHING to follow!
Let me sum up the past 20+ days . . . .
**Hudson turned 6! And yes, we had a party. He is too funny. He wanted a “red” party – because that is his fav-O-rite color! So, we gave a picnic twist to it. And if you have a picnic, you have to include ants! I am shocked at all I found – several cute things that I can use over and over that had a picnic/ant/red theme.
**I’ve washed approximately 34 loads of laundry since we last met up.
**I decided on a new hairdo that includes a long bang and very short back. Because of this – I bought a chi. One of the tiny ones!! Quite certain I’m the last person in the US to have a straightener. I’m glad you all do NOT come to my blog for fashion/style ideas and tips. Obviously, you would be sorely disappointed!
**I’m sure I emptied my dishwasher at least once a day since the last blog post. Is it just me, or is that the worse chore ever? Now, I know exactly why I had children! I can’t wait till I can trust them to unload and load that joker without breaking anything. I’m thinking I might be living for that moment!
**Speaking of kids – this kid is just cute. And I swear it has nothing to do with the fact that he looks like me – SWEAR!
**As most of you know, we have gotten a ridiculous amount of rain – yet again. If you all remember, we got a flood last year {the weekend of Hudson’s birthday.} So, it was weird to get so much rain again a year later. It is all too fresh! We also had 2 more tornadoes touch down in out town. Sadly, one touched down in the same area as the one a couple of years ago. BUT our F0 didn’t do the damage as our neighbors in Alabama got.
**We have a serious puddle in our cul-de-sac every time it rains. And then I have a serious problem when my daughter has her serious determination to play in the serious puddle. If she would just puddle jump, all would be okay. I really don’t know if she grows tired of jumping {after about 2 jumps,} likes having dirty water everywhere – including her hair or if she is making up for all the sensory issues some of her brothers have, but she goes nuts when she sees puddles!!!
**It looks like Em is going to have to have a minor surgery. This has come as a major shock because I didn’t know she had any issues. BUT ever since the pediatrician has brought some stuff to my attention, I will not let Em sleep by herself as I now see how she gasps for air while sleeping. {Yes, put me down as neglectful since I’ve never noticed during the past 3 YEARS!} I’ll fill you in after we figure out exactly what is going on – which should be by the middle of the week.
**I got a bunch of plants in the ground – and in pots! Meaning that what free time I had the past 2 weeks has been spent outside. This is one of my favorite things about this time of year. I’m obsessive with my flowers! We have been in this house for almost 4 years and it is beginning to take shape outside. We are in the beginning stages of widening our driveway. Once we finish all the concrete, we can finish our landscaping in the front. It has been driving me nuts – I’m sure my neighbors would be appreciative as well.
**I also sat on the couch and watched some useless tv. Because I felt like it.
**I put up the 34 loads of laundry. Okay, not really – I think I currently see about 4 loads folded and spread out all over the kitchen table and counters.
**After having absolutely zero interest in the Royal wedding crap, I found myself waking up at 3:30 am {central time} last Friday thinking, “crap! I’m missing the royal wedding!” And yes, I watched it. Because sometimes, you have to give into those fairytale dreams we all once had.
**Ate the New York Dog from Sonic. I’m not a fan of hot dogs. I want to marry the New York Dog. I love him. He loves me, too. Pretty sure he is still sitting on my thighs and not wanting to leave.
**I’ve completely ignored my inbox. Basically because I’m scared of it. If you have emailed me, I promise to email you back. If I can get some Wheeler kid cooperation, it will probably be tonight. If you emailed me about ordering, I’ll send you an email as well – swear, I’m not avoiding you! ONLY the inbox!!!!
**I finished my taxes.
**And I finished the post about when I’ll start accepting orders! It will be up – I’m hoping – this weekend. I’m adding a video because I wanted to “explain” some things and felt it was easier in my voice rather than typing it out! Just so you are ready . . . . . Tuesday, May 17th is the day. At 8 pm {central time.} Random, uh? There is a reason . . . . and I’ll explain in the next post!! I’m still finishing up some things – so now I have to bust my rump and get things done!!!!

Pretty sure this isn’t a dent in my “what I got done because I neglected my computer” time, but how boring of a person can one gal be?? I’ll save you the agony and shut up now. But I’m finishing up some more yard work today and will be back this weekend with the one post a couple of you have been waiting on!!!
Promise.

Funny about you buying a Chi–I just finally bought a straightner (a remington b/c I was going for good but cheap) and I was thinking I was the last person to realize that a flatiron was actually a needed item. I’m now embarrassed with how terrible my hair always looked.
Glad I’ve found your blog and look forward to following it!
I need ants! Where did you find yours?! I LOVE the one in the photo…I’m having an ant themed picnic in 2 weeks! Guess great minds think alike lol!
Girl, you probably do more than two people put together. Viewing useless tv is the best!
Hope things will be okay after Little Em’s sugery. By the looks of her puddle exploration, she doesn’t seem to affected by whatever is going on with her night breathing/gasping
This reminds me of that Grey’s Anatomy episode when Meredith suddenly realizes the baby in the ICU can’t breathe because her nostrils are blocking the air passage or something like it. Hopefully Em’s situation is an easy-fix. She’s a doll!
OMG GIRL! What a post! I need to call you… I had no idea about Emsley!!!
Oh no sleep apnea ? Our oldest has that and once we removed his tonsils and adenoids, at 2 years old {his tonsil were so large they touched} things have been perfect, no more NOT breathing in the night… Freaked me out so bad…
I was starting to worry you were prego and sick or something….
There is no Tuesday, May 19th……..
Did you mean Thursday May 19th or Tuesday May 17th???
haha! The 17th! thanks!! my calendar didn’t flip over!!
There is nothing as scary as that! I am so sorry that you all are going through sleep apnea. I can only image your stress. Hang in there!
