Hudson . . .

And not mine! ha!

Poor Hudson {my Hudson,} was tore up that this painting was not for him!!! He completely understands that there are other Hudsons in the world. But the concept I would paint for another one just wasn’t something he could wrap his mind around.

These are “phone” pictures. But I know this girl will be sending me photos after the painting is up, so I know we will see different room photos eventually.

The furniture is black and the walls are a beautiful grayish blue. The picture from yesterday’s post shows the fabrics better with the painting . . .

This is big brother to Hayes. My goal was totally different looks for each, yet {obviously} the same style!

Huge glare on this one – sorry. This room of mine gets so much light at the end of the day. Which makes a horrible time to take pictures.

Remember – Thursday, May 19th at 8 pm central time is the big day! I’ve gotten a few questions that I have answered in the comments of the linked post. One question is Should I fill out multiple order forms if I’m ordering multiple canvases? The is answer is NO – One order form is fine. Just make sure you fill in all the names in the ‘name’ spot. I want it to look obvious the exact number of canvases you want.

Another question is about swatches, pictures and links. Don’t worry about any of that until I’m about to start on YOUR canvas. At the time we start talking about exactly what you want, we will work out all the specifics then. If you want to put a link on the order form – feel free. But really, no need until we get started.

And a really good question – if you don’t know the baby’s name {ex – you are pregs and do not know the sex yet,} fill out an order form anyways. Again, the name doesn’t matter until I get started. And the probability of me starting yours before you know who you will be slaving to the rest of your life {if you are indeed the parent} is very unlikely! So fill out an order form anyways with a “to be announced” or “I’ll find out in June at ultrasound” or  ”I’m making everyone wait and not finding out till birth” or . . . .  {you get the picture!}

About Kim
I picked up a paint brush for the first time 7 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My goal - To paint a canvas for my son's nursery. I never dreamed a business would be born out of it. {And if you saw the first canvas, you would think the same thing, too!}

    Perfection ~ as usual. Poor Hudson. My kids are the same way. Regardless of what I paint, they are disappointed it is not for them.

    Oh, and I have a suggestion for your photos (which IMO are just great). I just got this cool bouncing flash for my camera. . . since finding that sweet spot in the house for my photos doesn’t always work and I get funky shadows and glare too. It is called a ‘pop-up flash bounce.’ Probably everyone in the world knew of this but me! But apparently, it is like having a professional diffuser and external flash. I haven’t used it, but when it comes I will let you know if I like it or not.
