“B” {& I have to have this rug} . . .

I’m in love.

With God. My husband. My kids.

And this rug.

photo "borrowed" from Garnet Hill

This rug will match my kitchen – I’m pretty sure perfectly! Unfortunately, last time I checked . . . . they were out of the size I needed to go under my table. Waahhhhh! So, I’ll settle for a smaller one for in front of my sink. And maybe another one to go in front of the back door. And I really could use the runner too – down the incredibly short space between the kitchen and the garage door.

But then again, I’m poor.

I’ll just get the smallest one to go in front of my sink. {For the record, I would have sold off some furniture to get the bigger size for under the table.}

Honestly, I would have never found this rug if it wasn’t for a painting for a friend of mine. I don’t have the time {or energy to look for cuteness like this!} I love it when I receive pictures and sites like this that makes me fall in love with stuff I don’t really need, but really want. I stared at the rug for so long, I just went ahead and did myself the favor of saving it as my screen saver. Cheezy, but I did!

I tried every kind of light to get a “really good” picture. Needless to say, it didn’t matter! I just couldn’t catch it! The true color of the painting is is so vibrant! And the color you see between the brown scallop and the orange color is actually red – a burnt red. A red that actually looks like what you see in the RUG!

This painting is going in the bonus room and has a light blue sofa.

Photo from Rooms to Go site

I took a gazillion photos of this painting! The picture below is a pretty good representation of the shading. It kills me that you can’t see the shading in the full picture as well as you can in the snippet pictures.

Sorry for the glare, but I’m only posting the pictures that show more of the real colors {including the ones with glares!} I’m going to shut-up now so you can just look.

And just one more time . . .

Smoochy, smoochy! I love this rug!

I have 2 more planned posts and then I’ll be posting about the re-order situation. I’m sure a couple of you might want to know the plans!

About Kim
I picked up a paint brush for the first time 7 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My goal - To paint a canvas for my son's nursery. I never dreamed a business would be born out of it. {And if you saw the first canvas, you would think the same thing, too!}

      I’m sure some people will not be happy with how I’m doing it BUT it is the fairest way. I’m working on the post right now!

  8. Just stopped by your blog for the first time…hello. You are so creative and inspiring. I had just bought a canvas and want to paint. I just decided I wanted to and now I’m starring at this big blank white canvas and I’m scared. You’ve inspired me to just do it. P.S. Loving that rug!

    OMGosh girl this is amazing! I mean all of your stuff is amazing, but this new design is just wow, my jaw dropped. It’s just oozing of cuteness. I am definitely going to need one of these! Cannot wait for your new post….

      THANKS! I’ve been working up to this. Lately, I’ve been trying to shade a little more edgier. This one is even better in person. I really want to see it in real life w/the rug. I think it will make the colors come out like crazy!

    Okay I am going backwards on your blog since I have a moment to myself. . . and just wanted to say ‘udders’ ~ can’t wait to see that reveal! I am sure it is totally cute and tasteful! I have painted a cow being roped for a mural in my boys room. . .and I always thought something was missing! Now I realize it was it’s udders, LOL! I think I actually have a photo of it on my blog here (http://beyondwordsdesigns.com/?p=382) just so you can have a good laugh!
