Hollis . . .

Okay, so you guys were right . . . it is Hollis! I love when I am asked to paint again for the same family – whether it is for a 2nd {or more} baby or the “new” big kid room! It really is such an honor and privilege to come back again.

And let’s just jump right in . . .

Have you guys seen the bedding?!?

Yes, I lifted this picture from Kelly’s blog. Something tells me that she doesn’t mind. And so you can see it all together in a close up . . .

Can you see the metallic paints? I love metallics. And when Kelly created that fantastic mirror for Hollis’s room, I knew immediately that I was going to be using several shades of gold, bronze and pewter some how, some way in this painting.

You know, . . . it is my job to bring it all together!

Kelly liked the rosettes, so those were a MUST! And I’m glad we did! The painting was cute without them, but something about the painting jumped out when I attached the flowers. AND the leaves . . . oh, how I love that smidge of green!

And my favorite part of the room . . . .

I’m sure no one is surprised! Fantastic piece of furniture! I’m jealous!!!!

I have to tell you all that Kelly is an awesome person. And since I met her for realz, I really want you all to know that she is exactly what you read on her blog. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of her is “genuine.” And I’m soooo happy to call her a friend!

Kelly, I hope you love it! And I can’t wait to see that sweet baby’s face!!!!

About Kim
I picked up a paint brush for the first time 7 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My goal - To paint a canvas for my son's nursery. I never dreamed a business would be born out of it. {And if you saw the first canvas, you would think the same thing, too!}

    I just love your site!! I came across it from a friend. You are so incredibly talented- keep up the great work!! Just don’t see how you do it with 4 kids! Just a question- what did she use for the letters on the mirror?

    This is BEAUTIFUL! I’ve been “stalking” your work since you did Harper’s name, but this one really speaks to me. I think it’s the flowers! I hope you start taking orders again soon because my girls are going to need something for their new bedroom!
