Emma & Gavin . . .

Thank you all so much for the ideas on the marker. Other than a “dot” on the center of her forehead, we are cleared. She got over me cleaning her up is the only reason the dot is still there. For the most part, I don’t have to worry about my kids when they are off by themselves. Not saying they don’t get into anything, but most times they are scared of the consequences to really do much. Em on the other hand is much braver than her brothers. Needless to say, she really isn’t scared of me – very concerning in some areas. In other areas, I admire her courage.

In an amazing attempt, I did it! Completed! Another painting! And I feel like I need to clean my house now. I’ve neglected everything this weekend. I just had an idea with this painting from the time the order came through my inbox. I couldn’t stop. Sorta like instant gratification – it just really wasn’t instant. But I never really walked away from the canvas and just worked straight through till it was finished. That is about as instant as you can get when it comes to a hand painted canvas!

As I stated in yesterday’s post . . . It was ORANGE

TURQUOISE

And then some BLACK & WHITE which gave me something like this . . . .

This is the same Emma from yesterday’s post. Gavin is her brother and this painting will go into their penguin themed bathroom.

I did a wash in the center since I’ve not done that with this particular design.

Next one on the list is the final one for the above order and it is a 16×40 – I’m lovin’ this big canvases!

Emma Caroline . . .

I had every intentions of posting a picture yesterday of this painting. And well, life took over. I really need to blog about the random stuff that happens on a daily basis – I’m positive that I will be contacted immediately for my own reality show!

Or a book deal!

Either way – please know that I always have the BEST of intentions. Just like I’m sure Em did when she drew all over her face with a marker.

But seriously, this is another awesome bedroom! Now I’m torn between Amelia’s or Emma’s?!?!? Maybe I can split my time between the two.

I love the ice cream sunday art – over the top cuteness!!!

The flowers are made out of fabrics from all over the room! Check out that super cute owl pillow on the bed . . . . Yeah, I used those fabrics. {And no one ask, because I did NOT make that cute pillow!}

This is one off my list, but there are a couple more from this order before I can truly mark it off.

I now have a date with orange, turquoise, black and white. My goal is to have it completed by tomorrow!!! But first I need to see how “permanent” permanent marker really is . . . on facial skin.

Amelia Joy . . .

You wouldn’t believe all that has been going on lately. And since you wouldn’t believe it, I’m not going to tell you.

Seriously.

Somehow I managed to finish a few paintings. This one in particular has been finished for days. And I do mean DAYS! But it has been raining or to cloudy to take really good pictures – not that my pictures are really good. BUT I do need all the planets to align perfectly to get the money shot and there just hasn’t been any alignments lately – except for days when I’m stuck in a court house all day long. Or the day I’m on a field trip with my son. Or it’s my birthday – though I don’t really celebrate those, when you have kids . . . . they make you celebrate!Because really, who wouldn’t celebrate their birthday?? Here is a funny – Hudson keeps telling me how good I look for 25 {haha!} I finally told him the truth.

I was really 67.

“You look AWESOME to be so old!!!”

Thanks dear. I knew I could count on you to make me feel so good about myself.

I love my kids.

But because of the craziness I call “my life,” some one has patiently waited for her post – well actually her baby’s post. She told me that she knew it would be worth the wait.

Thanks for turning up the heat. I’m feeling it! {Geez, I hope to you it is worth it!!!}

So, without further adieu . . . .

Unfortunately, it is a gloomy day – BUT I HAD TO GET THIS POST UP BEFORE I STARTED RECEIVING DEATH THREATS!!! There are a some crazy glares on the canvas due to the type of paint I used – but I got tons of close-ups so you can really see it!

Do you like?? I tried something a little different with the shading – and. I. Love. It.

And speaking of love – this room! I’m wondering if I come to visit, if I can sleep in there – I’m confident I  can fit in the crib.

And just look at that BABY!! Cutie McCute Cute needs to come over to my house for a few days!!!!

Love the gitisimo “A” behind the chair. Admit it – you do to!

This canvas is huge – 16×40, so I wanted to add a small sumin’ sumin’ – and the flower was a perfect fit!

I stopped talking so you could just look. Sometimes, silence is best. Especially when you are the type of person that really only visits for the pictures.

So, tell me – what do you think of the newer shading? I’m really diggin’ it myself!

And to prove I am working . . .

. . . a sneaky peeky for your viewing pleasure.

{Scoot over Amelia, I’m moving in!}
