Snowed in . . .

As with most of the South, we are snowed in!! Went to bed with nothing and woke up {around 1:30 am} with inches of snow! A truly magnificent sight!

Unfortunately I have a sick kid! He puked yesterday and has been asleep ever since. Basically, I was going to be trapped anyways. So, I’m glad I didn’t have anywhere to go. It would have been hard to get everyone else to school with a sickie in tow.

I was planning on cooking today – It was chicken and potato day! I hoped to cook off enough meals for the month. Not for the whole month because we eat more than chicken and potatoes. BUT for the meals that require the 2, I was going to cook up and freeze. But now I have a ton of laundry, from a kid ralphing and another one flushing her panties down the toilet. Only I caught her in the act. Only about 8 pair were donate to the sewage plant. But still . . . there were about 8 pair that were in the toilet and the rest were dirty.

Do you know how much size 2T-3T panties cost these days?

Atleast toothpaste is cheaper, since I just spent the past 45 minutes cleaning off a brand new tube of toothpaste that was smeared on all the Toy Story Action Links. I was amazed at how good the room smelled when I walked in. I instantly took a scan of the room and its occupants. The white stuff all over one little girl’s face let me in on the secret that everyone else knew about – everyone but me of course.

The “Great Panty Flush of 2011″ just wasn’t fun enough, we had to add toothpaste to the mix. Now that is loads of fun!

Somebody hide the scissors – I see hair on the floor soon {somebody go ahead and kill me.}

Not only am I having to clean up the pukies, cook chicken and potatoes, wash panties and work on smeared toothpaste, but I have my own hot mess to pick up! But I’m doing it!

AND I’ve answered about half the emails in my inbox!!

AND I’ve almost finished a painting!

I hear the toilet flushing.

I have to go make sure what is in the toilet is suppose to be in the toilet.

Later.

About Kim
I picked up a paint brush for the first time 7 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My goal - To paint a canvas for my son's nursery. I never dreamed a business would be born out of it. {And if you saw the first canvas, you would think the same thing, too!}

    Ha! Kim that is too funny! We are snowed in also and the kids have made this house a hot MESS! I am on the laundry but I am playing mean momma and making them clean their space! Its one of the benefits of having bigger kids!

    hahaha!! This post made me laugh. Even though I’m sure it wasn’t funny when she flushed those panties down the toilet! Praying you survive being snowed in. :)

    Can’t wait to see this painting. . .know I’m going to *love* it!!! And it sounds like one of “those” days around there. . .we all have them but we’re not all brave enough to blog about them :) Here’s hoping for some calmness to settle in later in the week. . .

  6. Omg, panties down the toilet is hilarious. I think you’re right about the scissors being part of the next incident. Good thing you don’t have a dog. Lol.
    I think your family deserves their own sitcom. Now that would be a hoot to watch. :-)

    LOL – I must say, I have YET to have any little person flush anything than what’s supposed to be there, flushed down the toilet, nor have I had the privilege of cleaning up toothpaste…..but I have a feeling that my luck might not last much longer. I have a curious 17 month old who likes to play on/in/around the potty….and rip books…and chew on just about anything. Ugh. I’m glad I have you around to read so I don’t feel so alone. Misery loves company, no?! :-) Oh, and YES I know how much undies are! Redonkulous.
