Jacob . . .

Another “gift” off my list, but I do still have 5 paintings on my list! So-so-so close. So close that I can feel it!

“Oh happy day” – sing it with me!

(Oh happy day)

Oh happy DAY (Oh happy day) . . .

Sorry, I can get carried away.

But alas, I still have 5 and I still have several on my gift list! I am so glad that I have checked off another! Now, this design has been bouncing around in my head for some time. Actually, I kept going back and forth about painting this one and the “Cain” design for so long. I was just chicken to do it!

Don’t ask – just proof that we all have some kind of crazy insecurities!

But I’m glad I faced the fear and did it anyways. Something about this one gets my attention and keeps it.

Unfortunately, this is the kind of painting that the camera cannot cannot catch. And the fact that it is a dreary and gloomy day sure doesn’t help in the matter. I moved the painting all over the place trying to get the right light – with absolutely NO LUCK!

The close up photos tell a little better story. The color seems much better in these!

The walls in Jacob’s room are painted the lime green.

And I have swatches to show you!!!

Dead match.

I’m not bragging. But it was hard to match up these colors! And I did it! And I started dancing around my studio! Because I thought I finally met my match and I wasn’t going to be able to coordinate with the colors! BUT I DID!!!!

That’s all.

Have a great day! I’ve got to start on another painting.

About Kim
I picked up a paint brush for the first time 7 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My goal - To paint a canvas for my son's nursery. I never dreamed a business would be born out of it. {And if you saw the first canvas, you would think the same thing, too!}

That is another great design! I have my swatches all ready when you start taking orders! Let’s just hope I can pick a name.

Awesome job! This is different for you but I LOVE IT! I really like the placement of the name at the bottom. I also love the “cain” painting where it is not only set to the bottom but I really like how you set the justification too!

Oh my I so love it!! You are so amazingly talented that I always love to see your newest masterpiece. My problem is I want to own one too but I have a gaggle of children (that would be SIX) and how would I ever choose who would get the privilege of something so awesome? Do you ever do things with the last name or have some idea how I incorporate one of your amazing paintings into my home ? I know you have plenty of kiddie business to keep you covered over and I am just being a spoiled brat cause I want one too! Haha. I love it and you totally rock! How you manage everything is inspiring and your honesty always keeps me laughing with you not at you. Keep on blogging and painting they both bring smiles to the world!

  7. Ashley says:

Hi there. I just found your site from The Francis Family blog. I read your “about me”, browsed your work on this blog and your website (which is fabulously done) and I have to say I am so impressed! Your talent is a gift from God! Really. Your work is just stunning. I can completely relate to the difficulties of running a business with small kids at home (I have 3). I’ve dabbled in a little art for fun from time to time, but I stick with the sewing side of designing. (www.thepeacloset.com)

Just wanted to tell you how beautiful your work is…and hope your kiddos feel better…for your sake as much as theirs. Been there…actually…doing that right now! One son had pneumonia last week. Missed his 1st church camping trip with the boys (poor thing) and now my littlest is home with “a cold”…but we all know what those turn into.

Best to you! I will definitely be sending people your way.
