Cheap-O Decorating . . .

Yesterday, I decorated the boys’ room for Valentine’s Day. The easy way – with their own art!

They have those awkward walls that you really can’t do anything with.

We got smart and screwed hooks into the walls. We then threaded twine and knotted it off at each end. And with each season and holiday, I clip the kids’ art with small clothes pins to give some color to the otherwise wasted-slanted-wall-space!

They actually look forward to switching out the art. And to be honest, so do I!

About Kim
I picked up a paint brush for the first time 7 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My goal - To paint a canvas for my son's nursery. I never dreamed a business would be born out of it. {And if you saw the first canvas, you would think the same thing, too!}

      I just googled Dr. Seuss Birthday party and all kinds of crazy ideas popped up! I noticed that Michael’s had a small section of Dr. Seuss stuff. They had some really cute cut-out Cat hat’s that would look fantastic attached to treat bags!

    Very cute idea! My sister bought cables/hooks from Ikea and did something similar in the hallway between my nephews rooms. It is so much fun to see their work and watch them get excited when she changes it!

    LOVE this! I have been planning to do something like this in our playroom. I love the idea of doing it in their rooms, too as my kids also have some awkward wall spaces in their room.
    THANKS

    Beautiful! A childs artwork is always the best art. Never duplicated, one of a kind, made from their pure lil hearts. I save as much of mine (kids art) as I can. The two oldest ones always cringe when I take them out and show them off. I love how you have them shown here. True art….in it’s purest form…the best! Susie~
