I Blinked . . .

and she turned 2. I’m so sad. Really, I am. I know it is only 2 years – BUT 2 years?!? Where has the time gone?

I vividly remember the day she was born. Check out that melon! And {thankfully} the hair!

Last year’s 1st birthday was here before I knew it. {Do you remember that awesome foodie?} And that face – who doesn’t love a baby with some personality – BECAUSE if you’ve been coming around here long, you know that girl has so much of it!

And this year . . .  how the time has flown. How it will continue at such a faster pace with each passing year.

I can’t help but be sad about the time that has passed, yet so excited to watch who you will become. Because of you, I have something I always dreamed of and finally, after 30 years of waiting, a mother – daughter relationship. Only, I’m the mother and You are my precious daughter. Thank you, Emme, for such a wonderful gift. I pray I never let you down. And that you will always know how much I love you and appreciate all that you are and all you will become. I promise to never judge you and will help you in every step of the way to become a much better person than I ever dream of becoming. And as much as I know you are so much drama, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love every single bit of it! Happy Birthday, Emsley!

Nothing like waking up on your birthday morning with a ton of gifts! Anything princess, fairy and pink – and she is one happy camper! With every gift that she opened, the facial expressions kept coming. I only posted a few – I’ll keep the others for embarrassing moments!

And when I ask her if she is going to take care of me when I get old, she always says “Yes.” But when asked if she will change my diapers, she always says “NOOOO!” And she is dead serious. I know ’cause she gives me that look with her nose scrunched up that says “ARE YOU SMOKIN’ CRACK?!” {Obviously, since I’ve been known to ask my Grandma that question, we share DNA.}

About Kim
I picked up a paint brush for the first time 7 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My goal - To paint a canvas for my son's nursery. I never dreamed a business would be born out of it. {And if you saw the first canvas, you would think the same thing, too!}

By the way, I miss the list of blogs you read, are they here and I just don’t know it? I have been using your blog as a link to all of those. I miss them.
