I have found a new design for the “funny bones” collection! I really like using the tick mark border . . . this time I put a twist on it. Literally!
After this painting . . . . I got to thinking what I could design without sketching it on the canvas?! Just let the brush go and see what happens? I didn’t use tape to grid out the border for even-ness! Kim got wild – haha!! I let loose! And finally did it! Completely “free-hand” – it was scary {I’ll admit} – but I did it! I faced the fear and did it anyways!!
Of course this will always be my favorite “G” font! So, for all those who order that have a name that starts with a “G” {or an “E” or both!} know that it will probably look like this!
I really used a lot of pattern – you can see it all in the above picture. {I really like the lighter pink dots on the darker pink background.} My main goal with this one is longevity. I was told that they wanted to be able to use it in a different room {eventually.}
I tried to avoid a “babyish” look so that the painting would have a long life in Grace’s room!
Okay, honesty is the best policy . . . what do you think! I can take it, be honest!
About this “twin” story! Look for it tomorrow – I’ll work on it tonight! Because it will take.me.that.long to type it out. I’ll warn you . . . wear your depends! You’re going to need it! It’s not everyday you hear about “the 2-headed baby!”

Nice work! I am a big fan of the light pink dots on the darker pink as well. I think you achieved a great transition piece for baby to big girl room.
You are awesome at freehanding – I've only done that a couple of times and I always feel so much steadier if I draw it out first.
BTW, my 2-year-old drew all over one of my paintings with a black permanent marker today. Yep, a painting that was almost ready to be shipped out to a customer. Yay…
